- AROUND TOWN -

Another new development in town, the It Takes a Village Diaper Bank now includes Pass It On to help coordinate a place for outgrown, gently or unused baby and parenting items. You can find out more information on their website. But that means that families both stock up and clear out as babies grow. What a great option considering how quickly they do that!

Out front of the library is a hopping place this week.  While the WCSD is remote (this week no extended through Martin Luther King, Jr Day) meals are available for ALL children thanks to Federal USDA funding. WCS families can have meals delivered or pick them up at the Waterville Public Library from 11 am - 6 pm, Monday - Friday.  All children (including siblings, homeschool families, babies, etc.) are welcome to not only pick up a meal bag, but a snack bag provided thanks to funding from the American Heart Association and packed by the Waterville Area Food Pantry. Registration is incredibly helpful as the MPS and Jr/Sr cafeterias pack the meal bags each day. Three cheers to those cafeteria workers trying to make sure all that food is distributed!

We only made it for a quick trip around the block today, literally. But it sure is a pretty block!

A beautiful honor that kept the library busy with knitting needles, yarn, smiles, and snacks. *** Without windchill... Clear sidewalks thanks to the DPW taking care of business (working hard in the next 3 pictures). Local restaurants are certainly a warm place to get out and grab a bite. Friday Fish Frys are already popular this winter. Of course, flowers in winter never hurt either.
