Officer Curtis Morgan from the Oneida County Sheriff's Office Community Affairs Unit visited the Waterville Summer Recreation Program Friday, July 9th. Topics covered included outdoor safety, crossing the street, being safe around traffic, and stranger danger. Thank you to the staff for assisting and making this event possible!

The WHS Archivists, Sue Fryc and Doris Stephan have created a new exhibit honoring the incorporation of the Village of Waterville in the vestibule of the Village Hall on Barton Ave. Be sure to stop in at the Historical Society and look over their exhibits too. Open Wednesday 10-4pm and by appointment.

Todd Coon the father of four young children was the only one home at the time when the fire broke out. Todd was asleep because he works third shift. By the grace of God, Kurt Carney, his neighbor was unexpectedly home at the time. After many attempts, Kurt was able to wake Todd and he escaped safely, but all of their belongings are gone. Todd and his wife Casey, an Army Veteran, started their lives in this house 6 years ago after she completed her service to our country. They have accumulated many things and have made many memories with their childre...

Friday night earned more buzz on the track! New school record Dylan williams 800 by 2 seconds 2:00.87 placing 3rd. Girls 4x4 Lydia Snow, Amy Lakata, Megan Wittenbeck, and Sydney Hajdasz(alternate ciara Owens) placed 3rd with a seasons best time (-4 seconds) 4:17.62 only 2 seconds shy of the school record.
