Santa is coming to Waterville on Saturday, December 19th! He'll take a ride on a fire truck. Listen for the sirens as he nears you!

After taking note to listen for the firetruck sirens on Saturday, we enjoyed the lights on Sanger Ave. As always, there are more than can be seen here. Plus all of the homes look remarkedly better in person!

Many have been asking about the Waterville Garden Club Decorating Contest. As with most things, nothing is quite the same, but they're thinking long and hard, and also fully appreciative of how beautiful decorations are across the area.

Starting a little catch up on some of the previously blurry photos that needed to be taken again. Entering White St from Main Street sure is festive!

Todd Coon the father of four young children was the only one home at the time when the fire broke out. Todd was asleep because he works third shift. By the grace of God, Kurt Carney, his neighbor was unexpectedly home at the time. After many attempts, Kurt was able to wake Todd and he escaped safely, but all of their belongings are gone. Joe became a member of the Oriskany Falls Fire Department in 1968. Over his 50+ years, he served in many capacities including; the department Secretary, President, long time Fire Commissioner and earned Life-Member status. In addition, he served as Mayor of our Village from 1974 to 1977. His contributions to our department during his years of service are immeasurable. He was an integral part of many activities of yesteryear including being the Chairman of the Snowmobile races, Motocross races and Field Day Committee, as well as a long time delegate to the Oneida County Fireman’s Association.
