From Village Clerk Amber Bell, also note that "instead of the Legion offering hotdogs and hamburgers at the Legion, the Pride in the Community Committee/Fireworks over Oriskany Falls will be providing free hotdogs and refreshment right at the park for the kids that march in the parade. Division Street is still closed due to the unsafe structure of the Mill, so the route to the Legion would be to far for the kids to walk after they have been marching all day."

A few of the planters are now adorned and will fill out throughout the summer.
Self-watering, stone-look planters were chosen by the Beautification committee to replace the worn barrels.  The hope is that the flowers, planted by Garden Club volunteers, will thrive throughout the season with less work and grow to appear as an overflowing abundance of flowers per the example chosen from:

Flowers will be planted, flags will be up, and the Village will be ready for Memorial Day on Monday.  Now let's hope the forecast improves.
Reminder: No Post Monday, May 29th on Memorial Day
