Add the staff of Waterville Residential Care to your Christmas cookie baking list! The Waterville United Methodist church will be collecting cookies for the Waterville Residential staff until Tuesday Dec 15th! Like so many, and in their own way, the staff at Waterville Residential has worked tirelessly through tough conditions and stressful moments to make sure that our elderly feel cared for and are kept safe! Let's show them we care for them in return in the form of some sweets! We need to cover 3 shifts worth of workers! So let's get baking! You can drop your cookies off at the church and we will package and deliver them from there!

- AROUND TOWN -

Yesterday marked 4 years after the fire at the former Covidien plant in Oriskany Falls.  The Waterville Fire Department shared the photos below. A great reminder to remember your local volunteer fire departments when looking to give locally.  It was one cold winter evening for all of the friends and family volunteers out there fighting that fire!

Now in 2020, December 10th was a mild, quiet day leading into a relatively warm weekend in the 40s.
Santa has been delayed a week until Saturday, December 19th. But listen for him to ride through the village next weekend beginning at 2 pm. No matter what's happening, it's still a busy time of year for Santa! While the nights are long and dark, they're beautiful as well.

If you're getting into the holiday spirit this weekend, Children's Shopping Day takes place at the Creekside Community Outreach Center, and the United Methodist Church is taking donations of cookies to pass on to the staff at the Waterville Residential Care Center as a thanks for their hard work during these hard times.
