School might be on break, but there's all kinds of learning... the Waterville Central School District shared out this summer experience for 10 locals: "Mrs. Gallagher accompanied 10 students for a week at Camp Oswegatchie Educational Center. The students particiapted in a number of activities, including low ropes, high ropes, water sports, horseback riding, leadership class, hiking, biking, and more."

The Oriskany Falls Rotary Club hosted the Great Cassety Hollow Golf Tournament over the weekend.

On Friday, prep work began for the nature trail that will honor Owen Fortnam. Donations of supplies and time are still being accepted to help create some of the playscape and learning areas.  Once complete, the trail be open to the public 24/7

Meanwhile, no one seems to be complaining about the refreshing feeling of today's rain (after a few days of heat index over 100), and local gardens are looking lush.

Joseph E. Reddy July 20, 1944 - March 4, 2021 Click Here for Full Obituary With this tribute from the Oriskany Falls Fire Department: With deep sadness, we share the news that past member Joseph Reddy has passed. Joe became a member of the Oriskany Falls Fire Department in 1968. Over his 50+ years, he served in many capacities including; the department Secretary, President, long time Fire Commissioner and earned Life-Member status. In addition, he served as Mayor of our Village from 1974 to 1977. His contributions to our department during his years of service are immeasurable. He was an integral part of many activities of yesteryear including being the Chairman of the Snowmobile races, Motocross races and Field Day Committee, as well as a long time delegate to the Oneida County Fireman’s Association.
