- AROUND TOWN -

A 30 year remembrance from Louis Langone: "Feb. 23, 1991, 30 years ago, a house fire on upper Stafford Ave., the house was a total loss. In the pic's notice the price of gas."

Plus, Today in history with "Feb. 26, 1985, 36 years ago, house fire on Carney Rd. below 0 temperatures 2 men died in the fire the cause was a chimney fire."

A great reminder of why it's important to get out and support fundraising efforts for all of our local fire departments! Like a delicious fish fry tonight from the Barton Hose Company, Deansboro Fire Department, tonight! Plus, while they are passing it on, help the Waterville Volunteer Fire Department collect items for the Waterville Area Food Pantry.
In other words, help these volunteers help our community, and maybe you too.

Even if you weren't one of the high school students getting active again through team sports, we hope you found other ways to get out and enjoy another blue sky, mild temperature day. They're still noteworthy, even if we had a few in a row! While it may feel like spring, it's still just the end of February and we all know what's still possible. Soak up as much as possible in the meantime!
