A stretch of sunny, warm weather over the weekend! After four days of sunshine, the rain returns later this afternoon/evening to water the landscape. 

At the Waterville Public Library, Jeff Reynolds captured how beautiful it is to enjoy blue skies again!

Students and Staff of WCSD have been enjoying quite the variety of experiences as June carries on!

Thankful for no storms, but most likely feeling the heat, the WCS Marching Bands headed out to the Dolgeville Violet Festival on Saturday.

Last Thursday, the 7th Grade was able to enjoy kayaking at the Black River Outdoor Education Program.

Meanwhile, students in the Agriculture Education Program were able to able to gain some experience during Tractor & Machinery Safety week thanks to Whites Farm Supply, Clinton Tractor, and Glenn Osterhout.

Along with the many Athletes honored at the Scholar Athlete Breakfast on Friday, Patty Louise was also recognized for her dedication and service to the district.

The Waterville Mountain Bike Club traveled to Windham Mountain for a championship race, earning 3 podium finishes!

First Communion took place on Sunday at St. Bernard's Catholic Church.

Friday night earned more buzz on the track! New school record Dylan williams 800 by 2 seconds 2:00.87 placing 3rd. Girls 4x4 Lydia Snow, Amy Lakata, Megan Wittenbeck, and Sydney Hajdasz(alternate ciara Owens) placed 3rd with a seasons best time (-4 seconds) 4:17.62 only 2 seconds shy of the school record. Sydney Hajdasz competing in the 200m as well with a seasons best time of 27.89!!! Congrats to all *** WCS participated in the 70th Annual Sherburne Pageant of the Bands. If anything, it was a bit warm for some- but no one really wanted to complain!  We'll kick off  the photos with the Parade! Todd Coon the father of four young children was the only one home at the time when the fire broke out. Todd was asleep because he works third shift. By the grace of God, Kurt Carney, his neighbor was unexpectedly home at the time. After many attempts, Kurt was able to wake Todd and he escaped safely, but all of their belongings are gone. Todd and his wife Casey, an Army Veteran, started their lives in this house 6 years ago after she completed her service to our country.
