Fire and sorrowful news struck the Buschor family and Deansboro Sunday morning.
Fire Departments from Deansboro, Waterville, Oriskany Falls, Clinton, and Vernon Center responded to the call around 7 am. The fire deemed fatal for Mary Lou Buschor, despite efforts by her husband, Robert, and son, Bobby, to rescue her.

Sunday, despite the unexpected and tragic circumstances the Barton Hose Company out of Deansboro still pulled off a wonderful Palm Sunday Ham Dinner, the 63rd Annual.  Community members came out in support to help prepare and set up, then to eat.
