Flowers are slowly coming along, but a little more sparse than previous years for May Baskets. The Waterville Public Library Bookworms filled theirs with artificial and lollipop flowers.
The (chilly) rain has at least helped landscape along to pop with green.
The flowers below the Village Sign are persisting!

Not a typical temperature, and not one that lasted.

In March the Waterville Area Food Pantry, Inc. (WAFP) received a $500 donation from the Stewart’s Holiday Match program. It was designated by Stewart’s to be used directly for children under age 18 who live in our geographic area.
Stewart’s Shops donated more than $2 million, thanks to generous customer donations collected and matched between Thanksgiving and Christmas 2018. Read more at www.stewartsshops.com/community-giving
One of the WAFP programs addresses childhood food insecurity. Each Friday during the school year 125 income-eligible children at Memorial Park School, Waterville, NY (MPS) are able to take home a bag filled with healthy food and snacks for the weekend. The children named this program the Weekend Warriors (WW).
In the photo you can see the stocked WAFP shelves filled with items purchased with Holiday Match funds and ready to fill the WW bags.
Thank you for supporting the Stewart’s Holiday Match, the WAFP and the Weekend Warriors.
