- AROUND TOWN -

Wednesday kicked off to a beautiful start!

It was also a beautiful day to be out at Chittning Pond (although next time we are bringing gloves and a garbage bag for the treeline).  Get your fishing and boating in early before work begins on the dam. Click Here for the DEC website

Photo: Waterville Area Food Pantry
Congratulations to the Waterville Area Food Pantry on receiving a Holiday Match grant from Stewart's Shops!  Trish, the Waterville store manager presented the exciting oversized check to Mary Beth, who received it on behalf of the Food Pantry. These funds are designated for the pantry's children's programs trickling right into our community!

Meanwhile at the library, Cornell Cooperative Extension set up a Seed Cupboard for the community! The cupboard holds seed packets for vegetables, fruits and flowers and can be accessed in the library's entryway during all open hours.  Each family/household is welcome to up to 5 seed packets.
