- AROUND TOWN -

Live music returned to Waterville last Friday with local talent Nick Piccininni at the Waterville Public Library. The crowd was further apart and stayed seated- a huge difference from the relaxed, meandering feel of most library events. But able to enjoy a blue sky summer night with great music and a food offerings grilled (and delivered) by the Waterville Rotary Club. The Club then puts any proceeds towards local programming.

Any time this summer, you can walk along and enjoy the ever-growing Community Outdoor Art Show. Blank lawn signs can be picked up at the library for use.

It's time for local Sweet Corn!

Despite the relatively cool morning, it's a scorcher of a summer day! Stay cool!

The park is getting plenty of enjoyment by the local wildlife, with possibly more to come before the end of summer.

If nature doesn't do it, it might be a good night to make check on watering all those lovely gardens.

As light passes through these hexagon-shaped ice crystals, it is bent at a 22 degree angle, creating a halo 22 degrees in radius (or 44 degrees in diameter). A double halo, sometimes with spokes, may be seen on rare occasions when light reflects off water or ice.      The prism effect of light passing through these six-sided ice crystals separates the light in...
