From the Sr. High Student Council:
While social distancing is being encouraged, Sr. High Student Council would like to promote a little self-care through a wellness bingo challenge. Bingo boards were handed out to all 7-12 students when they picked up their Chromebooks, and sent to all student emails.  Completed bingo boards can be returned to the Jr./Sr. High School on 4/14 and placed in the box outside the district office. Five students will be randomly selected to win $10 gift cards from local businesses.

- AROUND TOWN -

From the WCSD last Friday:
"Oneida-Herkimer-Madison BOCES food service staff have been putting in the hours even though kids are home! They've been preparing about 300 breakfasts and 300 lunches per day (345 today) that are being distributed to our students at our local fire stations. Thank you to Mr. Crandall, Mrs. Ireland and their crews from MPS and the Jr./Sr. for getting our students fed.
Friday's deliveries were headed up by Mr. Chafee, Mrs. Leone, Mr. Rauch, and Mr. Neff! Miss Wanner and Mrs. Nicotera joined in, serving meals at the Waterville Fire Dept.
Once again, thank you to ALL of our area fire departments for supporting this effort!!! We couldn't be doing this without you all!!!"

Mr. English sent his participation photo in, and we'd like to add our socially distanced applause for an A+ effort. More photos can be found on the WCSD social media, including Facebook Here

Meals for all children in the WCSD continued today, and Karen Fox captured the process at the North Brookfield Firehouse. Lunches are put out on the table a few at a time for people to walk in and take. As needed, the table is re-supplied from the kitchen.

In the bright sunshine over the weekend, members of the school and general community participated in Chalking the Walk, and many a Waterville sidewalk was covered in drawings and encouraging sayings.  More photos below by Joe Misiaszek on their walk around the village- Thanks Joe!

Meanwhile, it is March in CNY. So, after full sunshine for 2 days, even if it was a bit brisk, we're back to snowfall today.   Almost 4 inches of snowfall just outside of the village as of 5 pm- by this relatively accurate ruler on a day when we did not leave the house.
