From the Waterville Central School District:
It's another sectional week for our Girls Varsity Soccer team and Varsity Football team!!!
Girls Varsity Soccer (1) will kick off this week's sectional play for Waterville with a match-up against Frankfort-Schuyler (12). This semi-final round match-up will take place Wednesday at 7:30 PM at Lowville Academy as the neutral site. Tickets are $4. There be a spectator bus with at least 40 students signed up by 3:00 on Tuesday. The cost for the spectator bus is $7, which includes their game ticket.
Please visit syracuse.com to check out the bracket (https://highschoolsports.syracuse.com/…/brackets/season/…/15). If they're able to grab a win Wednesday, the girls will head to a sectional finals match-up at SUNY Cortland this Friday!!! Best of luck, ladies!
Varsity Football (3) is also still in the tournament after a big win last Friday against rival Sauquoit Valley! This Friday will feature a rematch from early in the season against Beaver River (2). Game time for this semi-final round match-up is 6:00 PM with the game being played at Lowville Academy as the neutral site. Tickets are $5. There be a spectator bus with at least 40 students signed up by 3:00 on Tuesday. The cost for the spectator bus is $8, which includes the game ticket.
A win this Friday would move Varsity Football to a Carrier Dome appearance!! Once again, check out the full bracket at Syracuse.com (https://highschoolsports.syracuse.com/…/…/season/2019-2020/4).
For directions to Lowville Academy, please visit their website for additional information: https://www.lowvilleacademy.org/Athletics_Facilities_Map.ht…
Athletic Director's Note: Mrs. Mursch appealed directly to Section III for a more neutral site for both of these games. Unfortunately, those appeals were not granted. Let's make it a home game regardless with spectator attendance!!! We look forward to seeing both of our teams advance on to the next round!!!

At Clark Memorial Library in Oriskany Falls:
Bring the kids and have some Halloween fun on October 29 between 5 and 7 pm. The kids will get to guess what is in the boxes by touching the items inside. We'll have treats and some other fun as well. Play some games and win a prize! Stop in to see what the library has! Come in your costume! We'll be looking for you!

Pumpkins are becoming jack-o-lanterns...  We're expecting a few more before we capture the Sanger Ave grandstand.  Be sure you don't miss it! We haven't heard any official word on the elaborate Tower Street display, but it has never disappointed!
