In March 1994: 
The saga of Winter ‘94 continues with Central New Yorkers digging out stoically from last Thursday's abundant snowfall of over 30 inches.

The Times has learned that petitions are being circulated in Waterville to request the Village of Waterville to hold a referendum for all the voters to approve or reject Local Law #1 passed on Feb. 7 by the Village Board to abolish the village police force.

Tuesday evening the Brothertown Optimist Club hosted the Oratorical contest for the Zone. Two students, representing the zone, will move on to the NY NE Optimist District Contest in April. 

Also, congratulations to the Optimist Youth of the Month for January, Kathleen Gallagher, and February, Cassidy Welsh.

Flag 2 Football at Home on Sunday morning A quick walk (or ride) around shows that plenty of people have found decent weather to put up Halloween decor. Plenty of orange and purple lights are set up for impending Trick-or-Treaters as well.
