Waterville Cub Scout Pack 23 had its monthly Pack meeting on September 27, 2018. Nick Burdick, left, and Caleb Schenk entertain their fellow Scouts with a skit. The theme for the night was Friendly, a point of the Scout Law, as the Pack welcomed in its new Scouts. Todd Coon the father of four young children was the only one home at the time when the fire broke out. Todd was asleep because he works third shift. By the grace of God, Kurt Carney, his neighbor was unexpectedly home at the time. After many attempts, Kurt was able to wake Todd and he escaped safely, but all of their belongings are gone. Todd and his wife Casey, an Army Veteran, started their lives in this house 6 years ago after she completed her service to our country.
