- WEATHER -

As of 1 pm, a Travel Advisory with no unnecessary travel has been issued for Oneida County.

- IN THE MAIL -

- AROUND TOWN -
A rare WCS 2 hour delay for the predicted wintry mix/freezing rain on Thursday, followed by a Snow Day today as the rain switched over to snow and began accumulating mid morning to create a true winter landscape. Great for snow sculptures at the Methodist Church Chili Cook-off tomorrow. Not so great for those who were hoping for the groundhog's predicted early spring (there's still time).

The sidewalk plow was fixed and back into action, with plenty of work cut out for it this morning!

In case you're in need of a snowblower...or just call it a day and go sledding!
It also might not be a bad idea to stay home and celebrate Valentine's Day early.

MaryBeth Vandenbergh has been tracking accumulation in Deansboro as the rain switched to snow around 8 am.

Here's to hoping as many of you as possible don't need to travel, and can join WCSD in enjoying a Snow Day!

A beautiful honor that kept the library busy with knitting needles, yarn, smiles, and snacks. *** Without windchill... Clear sidewalks thanks to the DPW taking care of business (working hard in the next 3 pictures). Local restaurants are certainly a warm place to get out and grab a bite. Friday Fish Frys are already popular this winter. Of course, flowers in winter never hurt either.
