The BIG news that has generations of WCS students and alumni cheering, Girls Varsity Basketball Coach Larry Stockwell has hit 500 Section III wins! Congratulations!
Sauquoit generously gave Waterville the go ahead to switch Tuesday night's game to take place at Home. Waterville also ended up winning 43-15.

Winter Spirit Week also happens to be in full swing at the High School leading up to the Semi-Formal this weekend. With everything from Duo/Twin Day to Student/Teacher Swap and more to come, it brings plenty of creativity and levity to the halls.

Wednesday, February 5, 2014 was a WCS Snow Day!
In addition, the community was encouraged to meet with Superintendent Chafee for a Saturday "Coffee with the Superintendent time to discuss district matters.
 Now in 2020, the community is welcomed to come meet the new Candidate to replace Mr. Chafee in his retirement at the Jr/Sr High Media on Thursday at 6:30 pm.

Data has again been retrieved from the Village's radar speed signs. The portable sign has been placed on NYS315 for the past 3 weeks. I have noticed first-hand that this sign's presence has made a huge difference in slowing vehicles down coming into the village. Reminder that the sign records data at the time the vehicle passes the sign, not when the vehicle first registers on the sign. Buell Ave (Route 315), from March 11 - April 1. Traveling into the village: Total vehicles: 22,424 0 - 30 MPH: 11,715 (52.24%) 31 - 35 MPH: 4,431 (19.76%) 36 - 40 MPH: 3,022 (13.48%) 41 - 45 MPH: 1,891 (8.43%) 46 - 65 MPH: 1,365 (6.09%) - Some of these vehicles were moving over 75 MPH.
