Over 50 children came out last week to the Clark Memorial Library in Oriskany Falls to enjoy Michelle Boehlert's new book 'Skyler's Travels!' Michelle read yesterday at the Kirkland Town Library to another great crew. Then, you can catch her in Waterville at the start of the "Lemonade on the Lawn" series at 6 pm. She'll kick the evening off with a reading of Skyler's Travels, then be available for questions, chatting, and the sale of her book.

Also last week, the Valley Storm Track & Field Club held their August Summer Meet at the Waterville Jr/Sr High Facility.

While you may have to wait for your next baguette or croissant, The Waterville Historical Society will be the play to be on Saturday for Bake Sale items in addition to their Chicken BBQ and Loomis Gang Tours.

Joe became a member of the Oriskany Falls Fire Department in 1968. Over his 50+ years, he served in many capacities including; the department Secretary, President, long time Fire Commissioner and earned Life-Member status. In addition, he served as Mayor of our Village from 1974 to 1977. His contributions to our department during his years of service are immeasurable. He was an integral part of many activities of yesteryear including being the Chairman of the Snowmobile races, Motocross races and Field Day Committee, as well as a long time delegate to the Oneida County Fireman’s Association.
