- AROUND TOWN -

Waterville Central Schools had closed in advance to allow staff, friends, and family of Owen Fortnam to attend his funeral this morning.   The high winds that began Sunday night, creating a blizzard warning, closed many other local schools as well and has made for slow travel for those heading out.

If you have been taking advantage of winter to clean out, remember the Bottle & Can shed located at the Car Wash to benefit the Boy Scouts.

Prescription drugs can be turned in at the Village Hall to the MedReturn Unit.

Other donations can be brought to the Creekside Community Outreach Center in Oriskany Falls. Or, clothing can be dropped off at the Dropbox at the Waterville Methodist Church.

***
Throughout the village, traces of red are switching to thoughts of green & spring as we enter March at the end of the week.

The clock donated by the Waterville Rotary club is back to keeping time!
