Waterville Cub Scout Pack 23 traveled to the Adirondacks earlier this
month for an exciting outing.  The Scouts hiked Bold Mountain where they enjoyed spectacular views of the Fulton Chain of Lakes.  The Pack continued north and spent the night at Limekiln Lake State Campground where they enjoyed swimming, fishing, and  a campfire program.  Cub Scout sign ups will be at Memorial Park Elementary on September 20, 2018 for boys in grades 1-5.  Please email watervillepack23@gmail.com for additional information.

- AROUND TOWN -

Wednesday night's concert in the park with "Elvis," Don Brown II, was not a washout.
Although the weather certainly tried. Not long before, the rain let loose. Followed by another sudden downpour at approximately 8 pm- with half an hour to go.  "Elvis" invited everyone underneath the protection of the bandstand and continued the show, much to the enjoyment of the crowd.

The rain resulted in a welcomed temperature drop from the 90s to 70s for the remainder of the week. Welcoming Labor Day weekend with clear skies and tinges of Autumn (which will take another summery turn next week).
