Photos: Waterville Central School District

The last full day of school at MPS was Thursday, with just a half day today. That full day though was FUN DAY! MPS was able to enjoy Illusionist Leon Etienne and loads of sunshine among other festivities.

Wednesday night, Roc-Star's First Responder Appreciation Night was a huge hit for the whole community!  We recommend heading to Roc's Facebook page to hear his whole speech, that will make these award pictures more meaningful. In addition, one could find fantastic representation from numerous departments, demonstrations, child ID booth, and even clowns talented in balloon animals! Don't forget the ice cream too!

Thursday evening, the community had another chance to get out at the Summer Solstice Celebration at the library. Along with live music and refreshments the It Takes a Village Diaper Bank handed out their monthly distribution along with Kids Snack Bags from the Waterville Area Food Pantry. Upstate Cerebral Palsy and Learning at it's Best Student Services came out to set up tables and get in on the fun, and the Boy Scouts manned the fire pit for s'mores.

Tonight! Get over to the Historical Society for their Grand Reopening!
Happy Summer Vacation to all who are kicking back after one unique, trying year!

Data has again been retrieved from the Village's radar speed signs. The portable sign has been placed on NYS315 for the past 3 weeks. I have noticed first-hand that this sign's presence has made a huge difference in slowing vehicles down coming into the village. Reminder that the sign records data at the time the vehicle passes the sign, not when the vehicle first registers on the sign. Buell Ave (Route 315), from March 11 - April 1.
