2021-2022 Budget Vote Results
By a supermajority vote of 342 to 115 ( 75%), residents of the Waterville Central School District approved a $19,096,357 budget for the 2021-22 school year. The approved budget calls for a .76 percent increase in spending from the 2020-21 school year and a 2.5 percent tax levy increase, which is above the district’s calculated tax levy cap of .109 percent.
District residents also approved a proposition (343 to 119) (74%), which allows for the purchase of three buses.
Residents voted to fill two seats on the Waterville Board of Education. Incumbent Linda Hughes received 297 votes and will serve her second term on the board. David Poyer received 275 votes and will begin serving his first term effective July 1, 2021.
In addition, both budgets for the Waterville Public Library and CW Clark Memorial Library passed. Debra Olin was re-elected as Waterville Public Library trustee.
