Another grey and chilly day, there are plenty of people anticipating the warmer days ahead. Alcott's Garden Center was bustling on Mother's Day and Gallagher's Farm stand is back open with some great options for your own garden!

Thanks to Louis Langone, a bit more history for you in closing! If you were living here, chances are you remember both the fire at Ye Old Post and the microburst of 1999 well.
May 6, 1999, 26 years ago today, YE OLDE POST fire. 13 fire departments battled the fire, the building was a total loss.

"May 10, 1999, 25 years ago today, Micro Burst hit the Village of Waterville around 7:00 P.M. Thousands of dollars of damage was done, power was loss but no one was injured. Mayor Paul Carroll declared a state of emergency."
In case you want to walk down memory lane a bit more, this has us also thinking about the Labor Day storm of 1998... the Syracuse area chronicled in this CNY Central article
While it might be a drizzly, grey spring here in 2021. Knock-on-wood, it's nothing worse than a bit mundane.
