Take a good watch of the Senior Project Emma Carter put together on the
Types of Litter found in the Wetlands surrounding the Waterville Area.
Emma is senior at a boarding school in Maine, pursuing ballet, and found herself home this spring due to COVID-19.  Her video, along with recent local clean ups, are a great reminder to care for where we live!

Memorial Day was certainly different, but not unacknowledged. Homes and Villages were decorated, and while streets were quiet, there were small tributes happening.
The Barton Hose Company performed a memorial ceremony in Deansboro, photos below.  While others participated in #tapsacrossamerica  as trumpet players performed Taps in honor of those who gave the ultimate sacrifice.

With plenty of sunshine and only a couple small pop up storms, temperatures have climbed into the start of the week, reaching into the 90s, to make it truly feel like the unofficial start of summer.

Along with the summer weather popping up, vegetable gardens are growing and it's not too late to get planting. Tomatoes, kale, peppers, spinach, and lettuce can be found at Gallagher's stand on Route 20.

A Reminder of the Produce and Mask Give-Away tomorrow, and to get your WCSD Budget Vote mailed in!
