Thursday, MPS students had the honor of a formal luncheon gala, hosted by the MPS Positivity Project & Farm to School.  Students were invited to wear fancy clothing

Congratulations to the 10 students who competed Thursday night, presenting monologues in Comedy and Drama in the 146th Annual Prize Speaking Contest in our school’s auditorium.  
In the category of Drama, Fifth prize went to Ashlie Willson for her presentation of “Every Teenager Needs To Hear This.” Fourth prize went to Dawson Damuth for his presentation of  “Take Care of Each Other.” Third Prize was won by Sarah Zombek for her presentation of “ Scars/ To The New Girlfriend.” Second prize went to Lilly Broedel for her presentation of “Dear Future Generation.” and the first prize winner in dramatic monologues was Alivia Zombek for her presentation of “Crazy”
 
 In the category of  Comedy, the fifth prize winner was Valorie Ford for her Presentation of “It’s All in Your Jeans.” Fourth prize went to Natalee Collins for her presentation of  “It’s Terrible Being Nice.”  The third prize winner was Eleonore Collins for her presentation of  “Getting Off the Phone.” Second prize was won by Claire Brouillette for her rendition of “To Be or Not To Be.” The first prize winner of the Comedy section was Gavin Poyer for his presentation of “Golf Skit”
 
Refreshments were provided by the student council and  students, faculty, and community members helped with ushering, prompting, lighting, judging and back stage organization. Thanks too to all who attended and especially our presenters for a very enjoyable evening.

The sun is warming things up out there to more comfortable temperatures above 30, and allowing sidewalks to melt- including the walking path at Babbott Park which is kept open all winter long and plowed (time allowed based on DPW needs).















A bit of foresight, and snowy excitement, has extended seasonal decor popping up too!

Data has again been retrieved from the Village's radar speed signs. The portable sign has been placed on NYS315 for the past 3 weeks. I have noticed first-hand that this sign's presence has made a huge difference in slowing vehicles down coming into the village. Reminder that the sign records data at the time the vehicle passes the sign, not when the vehicle first registers on the sign. Buell Ave (Route 315), from March 11 - April 1. Traveling into the village: Total vehicles: 22,424 0 - 30 MPH: 11,715 (52.24%) 31 - 35 MPH: 4,431 (19.76%) 36 - 40 MPH: 3,022 (13.48%) 41 - 45 MPH: 1,891 (8.43%) 46 - 65 MPH: 1,365 (6.09%) - Some of these vehicles were moving over 75 MPH. - WEATHER - ***** - IN THE MAIL - We are hosting Brewnival at the 16 Stone Brewpub! A day filled with Brews, Carnival Games, and Music to benefit Spring Farm Cares!  The banquet hall will be setup with carnival games and music! We will have a special brew for the day and have some sampling from Tri-Valley Beverages with a few other suprises! Our Weenie Mascot, Bunz, will also be in attendance for Pictures and Dancing.
