- LOCAL SEEN -

Last night the community gathered together to sing Christmas carols around Waterville. They met in the CVS parking lot, traveled to Harding's Nursing Home and over to the elementary school to sing at the girls volleyball game. For more photos visit their facebook page. Thank you to everyone who organized it and to all who came out. It was wonderful to see the community get together and spread some Christmas cheer.

Christmas Full Moon

There will be a full moon on Christmas for the first time since 1977!
This months full moon, the last of the year, is called the "full cold moon" because it occurs during the beginning of winter. This Christmas full moon won't happen again until 2034, so you'll want to catch a glimpse of it because that next time it occurs you'll be another 19 years older.

The moon's peak will occur on December 25th @ 6:11 am EST.
So all of you early risers (and those that are forced to be early risers on Christmas morning) can peak out your window and enjoy this rare occasion.
Who knows, maybe you'll catch Santa leaving the village!

- ENJOY THE SEASON ! -

Take some time over these next few days to slow down and celebrate what this season is all about... spending time with friends and family, letting them know you love them, singing and not caring who is listening, losing yourself in the moment, laughing and making others laugh, enjoying the sights and lights, really looking at the joy in a child's eyes, eating too many sweets and realizing that the season is about more than presents, it's about opening our hearts to those around us and giving the best gift that anyone can receive, love.

Everyone that contributes to Hub of the Huddle would like to
wish you the merriest of holidays!
