Over the July 4th weekend Rick complained of not feeling very well. On the morning of July 8th he arrived at McCraith Beverages where he has worked for 30 years, when his boss, Sue McCraith, noticed immediately that there was something seriously wrong. Rick was rushed to Slocum-Dickson Urgent Care where doctors determined he was having a heart attack. He was then transported by ambulance to St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center where they attempted angioplasty but could not complete the procedure due to complications. Rick was then air-lifted by helicopter via MercyFlight to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY. He is now scheduled for open-heart surgery in the coming days.
