See you tomorrow for a fun Kids Club! We'll kick off with an Outdoor Candy Cane Hunt, then enjoy some fun seasonal stories, and offer an ornament craft station. Kids can make an ornament for the library tree and one to take with them. Or they can create...whatever they want!
Reminder: this December we're mashing up Story Hour and Kids Club to try something new (a one time for multiple ages, end of the week feel). Adult caregivers are welcome to hang out with us or relax
in the main room while we play.
is excited to exhibit G. Russell Oechsle’s private collection of wooden cased shelf clocks from Madison County clockmaker masters- William Dexter, Horace Dexter and Carter & Weller of Stockbridge, and L.&J. Students in Mr. Bruno's Intro to Woodworking Class are working on a fun
variety of projects this week! We saw some members of the class working on toy
cars, another group was working on special "Hot Plate Holders" using various
woodworking joint techniques, and another student was using the lathe to create a
pen! The students have online assignments to complete each week, which serves as
the primary "Classroom" portion of the course. That ensures the students have as
much hands-on time as possible during the class period!

A popular program from the past has returned to make sure that the
Madison Central School District’s elementary students are entering the classroom
looking and feeling their best this year. The Students are able to do so through the
MCS “Stylin’ and Smilin’” program. This special program brings together MCS
elementary students with their counterparts from the secondary grade levels in
the morning. See more

We joined our neighbors from Madison Fire Department for a great training tonight. Using a scale model home to learn fire behavior, smoke color changes, ventilation, and the dangers of roll over combustion. We look forward to bringing this training to our station in the future. Asst Chief Shawn Baldwin, Capt Brian Cossette, Lieut Dan Friebel, and Lieut Griffin Barth appreciate the invitation and learning opportunity! Thanks Madison Fire Capt Noah Nassimos for the invite!!
