Sunday, March 31, 4 pm at the Hamilton Movie Theater, 7 Lebanon Street, HamiltonAdmission $5 benefiting Waterville Historical Society
Crime drama starring George Rand, from a novel by Dashiell Hammett
Ed Beaumont is the personal friend, advisor and bodyguard to Paul Madvig, the political boss of a large city. When the son of Madvig's political opponent is mysteriously murdered, Madvig's enemies try to pin the crime on him because he is waging a clean-up campaign they oppose. The Strand Classic Film Festival is a revival of movies shown at the Strand Movie Theater in the Waterville Opera House in 1935, as listed on posters donated to the Historical Society's collection by Lurena McNamara. Our thanks to her and to Sean Nevison, the Hamilton Movie Theater, and all who have attended the series.

- AROUND TOWN -

MPS Students had a chance to preview the Musical of Willy Wonka Jr. that 5th & 6th grade students (and many adults) have been hard at work preparing for.

You'll notice so much orange in the crowd, because students were also cheering on SU. If only their good luck vibes worked!

More hopes for Colgate today as they take on Tennessee today.

Data has again been retrieved from the Village's radar speed signs. The portable sign has been placed on NYS315 for the past 3 weeks. I have noticed first-hand that this sign's presence has made a huge difference in slowing vehicles down coming into the village. Reminder that the sign records data at the time the vehicle passes the sign, not when the vehicle first registers on the sign. Buell Ave (Route 315), from March 11 - April 1.
