Our local volunteer Fire Departments have been putting in overtime to help educate the public during Fire Prevention week.
The Waterville Public Library Bookworms group visited the Waterville Fire Department on Wednesday. The kids were warmly welcomed, introduced to the gear used, and made more comfortable with how the fire fighters look in it to help prevent fear in the event of emergencies. They also had a chance to check out the fire trucks. A huge hit.
Multiple departments joined together to offer an experience for the Memorial Park School students on Thursday. Despite the on and off rainy weather, they were able to provide a hands-on, exciting, and informative experience.
The rain let up in time for the WCS Girls Varsity Soccer Senior Night game as well. WCS won against Mount Markham 2-1.
