Nominations are in for the third annual Syracuse High School Theatre Awards, which celebrates and recognizes local student achievements in the production and performance of theater.
The awards will be presented at the Landmark Theatre on Sunday, June 4 at 5 p.m. Doors open at 4:30 p.m.
The evening will feature students from 26 Central New York schools. Fourteen awards will be presented throughout the evening, punctuated by theatrical performances by several schools. 
The program is a Tony Awards-inspired production featuring hundreds of high school performers and the participation of cast, crew and orchestra members from local schools and the community.

Congratulations to Mike Marris,
who was awarded The Roses for the Living award recently by the Oriskany Falls Rotary Club.

Prom!  Beautifully clad students at WCS added some cheer to Saturday.  Coronation took place at the High School Auditorium.  Prom took place at Celebrations on Tower.

There was indeed a bit of snow this morning.  Nothing that lasted, but enough to coat the roof and cars of many homes.

Data has again been retrieved from the Village's radar speed signs. The portable sign has been placed on NYS315 for the past 3 weeks. I have noticed first-hand that this sign's presence has made a huge difference in slowing vehicles down coming into the village. Reminder that the sign records data at the time the vehicle passes the sign, not when the vehicle first registers on the sign. Buell Ave (Route 315), from March 11 - April 1. Traveling into the village: Total vehicles: 22,424 0 - 30 MPH: 11,715 (52.24%) 31 - 35 MPH: 4,431 (19.76%) 36 - 40 MPH: 3,022 (13.48%) 41 - 45 MPH: 1,891 (8.43%) 46 - 65 MPH: 1,365 (6.09%) - Some of these vehicles were moving over 75 MPH. - WEATHER - ***** - IN THE MAIL - We are hosting Brewnival at the 16 Stone Brewpub! A day filled with Brews, Carnival Games, and Music to benefit Spring Farm Cares!  The banquet hall will be setup with carnival games and music! We will have a special brew for the day and have some sampling from Tri-Valley Beverages with a few other suprises! Our Weenie Mascot, Bunz, will also be in attendance for Pictures and Dancing.
