Waterville Show Choir
Great thanks to Missy Brouillette for sending in the following:
"The 6th Annual CNY Show Choir Festival was this past Friday at Rome Free Academy. Schools participating were Waterville, Whitesboro, Frankfort-Schuyler, Westmoreland, and RFA.  Groups performed separately, then joined together for the finale."

Paula Gray Knitting Day
Also to WCS Librarian Katie Parker for this great follow-up:
"The Waterville Junior/Senior High School Library is pleased to announce that the success of the second annual "Paula Gray Knitting Day," held Tuesday, January 17, 2017.  Under the guidance of Anne Barnes, Debbie Barnes, Amanda Briggs, Kate Hobaica, Nancy Morgan, Debby Olin, Linda Rauscher, MaryBeth VanDenbergh, and Margie Wilson, students at Waterville Junior/Senior High School learned the basics of knitting.  Paula Gray Knitting Day was made possible largely thanks to generous donations from Colleen Bogan, the Gray family, Jill Kervin, Terry Tanner, and the WCS Student Council."

Monday:
It looked like everyone seemed to find time to get out in the mild 50 degree weather over the weekend, and many remaining Christmas decorations came down with a spring like feel.  Now, the wind has changed and it's beginning to feel and look like it's, more accurately, almost February.

Congratulations Mrs. Gates on your well deserved recognition by Big Frog 104! "Mrs. Gates teaches first grade in Waterville. "She has helped students grow and learn with unconditional love and enthusiasm through the entire year. She has made things run and exciting while meeting the needs of all learners. Her care, compassion, and positivity has not surprisingly poured over to her students, molding them into ‘star citizens.’ Communication with families was second to none and last minute switch to virtual days didn’t slow her down at all."
