HELPING OUR COMMUNITY
*Please note that The Hub of the Huddle shares gofundme pages, benefits, and community fundraisers  in the interest of helping our current and former community members.  Help may come in financial assistance, but also the sharing of information to others who may help,  and especially in kind words of support.

Doug Alberding Farm Fire
"On September 4, 2016 around 11 pm Doug Alberdings farm caught fire while he was milking. It started in the hay mow above his calves. He did not loose any animals in the fire but did loose all his hay and milking equipment. Which forced him to sell all of his milking cows. Doug's cows and the farm was his life! Any donation big or small is greatly appreciated to get him back up and running! We thank all the fire companies and people who have given their time today helping clean up the huge mess."

Miranda (Burnett) McGrath Flood Fund
"...The family is safe, but left with only their clothes they had on. The insurance company has already said that they are not eligible to collect any insurance because their policy doesn't include flood insurance, but their house is also not in the flood plane. This fund has been set up to help Josh and Miranda (and their three children) with the repair and replacement of all the items damaged in their house and vehicle by the flood. "

Rachel Owens & Family
"While on a Rotary Exchange Program, Rachel Owens became seriously ill with what doctors believe to be Thalassemia, an inherited blood disorder that caused her to develop blood clots in her legs, abdomen and lung. Rachel's parents immediately flew to Brazil to be by her side. Rachel is receiving the best medical care in Sao Paulo, Brazil and is in stable condition..."

Laurie Reeder
"In 2001 Laurie was first diagnosed with breast cancer, 11 years later her breast cancer returned and metastasized to her bones. After years of keeping the cancer at bay ... the doctor confirmed that the cancer has traveled to the lining of her brain...  Although there is no cure for the cancer she has and we are unsure how long she has left she manages to keep a positive attitude, has her hope in God and is ready to fight this disease as long as she can."

A beautiful honor that kept the library busy with knitting needles, yarn, smiles, and snacks. *** Without windchill... Clear sidewalks thanks to the DPW taking care of business (working hard in the next 3 pictures). Local restaurants are certainly a warm place to get out and grab a bite. Friday Fish Frys are already popular this winter. Of course, flowers in winter never hurt either.
