AARP will sponsor a Six-hour –one day Smart Driver  Course.  The program will be held on Tuesday,  March 29, 2016 from 9:00 am until 3:30 pm at the Waterville Public Library, 206 White Street, Waterville, New York.  This event will be held in the Program Room.  Lunch will be held from 12:00 – 12:30 pm.

Upon completion of the Smart Driver Program classroom training, participants are eligible for a reduction in New York State automobile liability insurance premiums and/or  point reductions as authorized by the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles.  Attendance is required for the entire session to earn your DSP certificate.

Course tuition is $20.00 for AARP members (Please bring your AARP membership card for proof of membership) and $25.00 for non-members.  Checks should be made out to AARP.  Participants are asked to not pay with cash.  Participants need to bring a pen and current driver’s license.

Course enrollment is limited and people interested in signing up are asked to call 941-6229 to register.  If you reach the voicemail please leave your name and telephone number.

There are community members looking for assistance with food delivery 
and/or rides to the grocery store for multiple reasons (not just food bank goods).  
They may be able to pay a donation (of money or volunteer time, 
but many are unable to pay a service fee.
We are looking to help spread/consolidate information 
for those in need & for willing volunteers.
