A wonderful young man lost far too soon.  Please note the support services available. A message from WATERVILLE CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT Good afternoon, It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I inform you of the unexpected death of one of our 6th grade students. Last evening, Owen Fortnam tragically lost his life due to a sledding accident. This presents a tremendous loss to Owen's family and friends and also to our students, teachers, staff, and community members. This loss is sure to raise many emotions and concerns for our entire district, especially our students. As you discuss this loss with your child, please know that our counselors and social workers can provide additional support. Tomorrow, we will be opening the MPS library from 1:00-3:00pm, to not only offer grief and loss counseling, but to also support our school community as we struggle to process this tragic news.
