Snow Day Tomorrow!

Good Evening Waterville Central School District Family: 

As you look out the window, you will see a lot of snow falling. So in anticipation of the impending snow accumulation, I have decided to call a Snow Day! So what does that mean? It means that school is closed for both in-person and remote instruction for all students.  

This also means a Snow Day for:
• BOCES Programs (Career Tech)
• Special Education Programs housed at MPS and the Jr./Sr. High
• Special Education programs outside of district

So go sledding. Build a snowman! Take some time to get outside and enjoy the snow! Be safe and take care.

The kiddos in Learning Club are hosting a Bottle and Can drive to raise money so they can purchase gift certificates for our local educators and medical personnel for their tremendous support they have given us throughout the pandemic. Gift certificates will be purchased from local businesses, providing even more community support!

Please see event details regarding how to nominate a educator or medical professional for a gift certificate, how to drop off bottles and cans the day of and how to provide monetary donations to help our cause.

As expected, snowmobiles could be heard near any local trail and there were clear signs of activity on almost any base of snow in the area. With the predicted snow forecasted for this evening and throughout Tuesday, any groundhogs in our area would have a difficult time even wanting to come out and predict how many more weeks until spring! But being in CNY, 6 more weeks of winter is pretty much a given. However you can be cheered by the changing décor, as winter items are packed away and hears arrive along with some optimistic flowers as well.
